Special Purpose Grants

These grants are made to nonprofit organizations doing work in a specific area of interest designated by the donors when they created their funds. Applications are open only to those nonprofits which fit the special purpose of the fund.

Field of Interest Funds

Jean P. Fitton Fund

To support K-12 public school teachers of merit and commitment in Monterey County and enable schools to attract and retain gifted and talented educators.

Fund for Homeless Women

To support programs and services for homeless women on the Monterey Peninsula, especially those offering emergency or transitional housing.

Siembra Latinos Fund Grants

To improve the quality of life for Latino residents of Monterey County.

Out Reach Fund

To improve the quality of life for the LGBTQ+ community in Monterey County.

MPRPD Transportation Grant

To increase recreational, environmental and educational access to the Park District’s parks and reserves.

Tri-Counties Blood Bank

To provide reimbursement to organizations which supply blood and blood products to people who can’t afford them and for other related activities.

Anita Tarr Turk Fund

To support research for the cause of and cure for breast cancer.

Regional Funds

Community Fund for Carmel Valley

The CFCV provides grants to organizations that benefit the communities of the Carmel Valley/Cachagua area which is defined as Highway One to Cahoon Grade.

Northern Monterey County Foundation

To support nonprofit organizations that provide important community resources and services in the Northern Monterey County communities of Aromas, Bolsa Knolls, Boronda, Castroville, Elkhorn, Las Lomas, Moss Landing, Oak Hills, Pajaro, Prunedale, Royal Oaks or Santa Rita.

Southern Monterey County Foundation

To support nonprofit organizations that provide important community resources and services in Southern Monterey County communities (King City and south).

Big Sur Fund in Memory of Weston Call

Important community resources and services in Big Sur, from Mal Paso Creek south to the County line.
