MPRPD Transportation Grants

Monterey Peninsula Regional Park District (MPRPD) established the Transportation Grant Fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County to increase recreational, environmental and cultural education access to the Park District’s natural areas, open spaces, museums, working landscapes and cultural sites while supporting MPRPD’s mission and values to have accessible open space for education and recreation enjoyment and protection of natural and cultural resources, native habitat and wildlife. MPRPD’s parks and preserves include the following; a full list of sites are available on its website.

  • Garland Ranch Regional Park/Kahn Ranch
  • Palo Corona Regional Park

Transportation Grants: At a Glance

Grant Range $500 – $10,000
Description To increase recreational, environmental and cultural education access to the Park District’s parks and reserves
Due Date Applications are accepted year-round as funding is available
Award Date Usually within two months of receiving a complete application

Eligibility

Transportation grants are open to 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations, schools, school districts and public agencies based in and serving Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito County residents. All organizations must have received a Special Use Permit from MPRPD and/or have an approved MOU with MPRPD; visit MPRPD’s website for more information.
