The Community Foundation for Monterey County (CFMC) is committed to maintaining the confidentiality, integrity, and security of personal information entrusted to us by current donors, potential donors, the board and staff, the nonprofit agencies who approach us for funding, and the people that they serve.
The CFMC does not share, loan, rent or sell individual information of any kind that we receive from donors, professional advisors, nonprofit organizations and others who use the website of the Community Foundation to make their connection to the community. Online giving transactions are processed on a secure server.
The CFMC provides links to external web sites from our web site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.

- handle donations or other transactions that you initiate.
- where you have specifically agreed to this, send you marketing communications by email relating to our work which we think may be of interest to you.

6. CFMC Cookies & Usage Tracking
We also use some cookies that do not collect personal information but that do help us collect anonymous information about how people use our website. We use Google Analytics for this purpose (Section 9).
7. Electronic Newsletter
We may share information with service providers solely for the purpose of producing and disseminating Foundation information to our constituents. You may remove yourself from our mailing list at any time. If you are receiving the Foundation’s electronic newsletter by mistake, or have any problems whatsoever unsubscribing, please contact us and we will take the necessary steps to remedy the situation.
8. IP addresses
The Community Foundation for Monterey County uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer www.cfmco.org, and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.
9. Google Analytics
We do not sell or rent personal information to others. We use your information only for the limited purposes of sending you updates and useful information about our programs, enhancing the site operation, and for statistical purposes and for overall systems administration.
