Tri-Counties Blood Bank Grants
Background
This Field-of-Interest fund was established by court decree when a nonprofit blood bank was sold and assets were given to community foundations in Santa Barbara and Monterey for annual grants in this field. It provides reimbursement to organizations which supply blood and blood products to people who can't afford them, and for other related activities.
Eligibility
In September each year, Requests for Proposals are sent to Natividad Hospital, Mee Memorial Hospital, CHOMP Foundation, Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital, the Tri County Blood Bank, and other eligible organizations.
Application
TCBB Applications are due by the first Monday in November. Requests for reimbursement should include invoices totaling the amount requested.
Funding
Grants are made in November.
Evaluation
Within one year, grantees submit a TCBB Evaluation, unless the grant was entirely for reimbursement.
