Workshop Details

Is your nonprofit ready to recruit new board members? Attend this evening workshop with your team and develop a workable plan to recruit qualified board members from our local communities. Bring a team of up to 3 people from your organization, such as Executive Director and board members responsible for recruitment.

  • Learn key elements of effective board building and
  • understand strategies for identifying and connecting with prospective board members with attention to inclusion, diversity and equity.

  • ACTION Council scholarships are offered to organizations supporting children & families who are at-risk, marginalized, or low-income

About the facilitator:

Vance YoshidaVance Yoshida has an MBA with a focus in finance and marketing from UCLA. He brings experience consulting with nonprofits in the Bay Area and in Salinas with the Packard Youth Initiative. Inspired by his father’s service, he has served as a board leader with many nonprofits, including Asian Health Services, California Flower Market, and more.
