The Southern Monterey County Foundation (SMCF), formed in 2014 as an affiliate fund of the Community Foundation for Monterey County, has awarded its first grants. The SMCF raises funds to provide grants to strengthen communities from King City to points south. It is guided by an advisory board of local residents who have a deep understanding of community needs in the region.

Thanks to the generosity of local residents, the SMCF advisory board was excited to make $25,000 in grants in its first year to help organizations serving our communities

– Rich Casey, SMCF Advisory Board Chair
