Pro Bono Consulting Available through Stanford Alumni Consulting Team (ACT)
Applications due January 31, 2020 through the Center for Nonprofit Excellence of the Community Foundation for Monterey County

Monterey County, California — Nonprofit organizations in need of business management expertise can apply for consulting at no charge through the Stanford Alumni Consulting Team (ACT). The program is coordinated locally by Center for Nonprofit Excellence of the Community Foundation for Monterey County.

The team, developed by the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, brings together business school alumni and seasoned business executives in a range of industries to provides pro bono private sector business management expertise to nonprofit organizations to help them better serve their local communities. The deadline to apply is January 31, 2020 at www.cfmco.org/StanfordACT.

Stanford ACT consultants provide a broad array of management consulting services including:

  • Business and strategic planning, including implementation recommendations
  • Board development
  • Financial assessments, including planning, reporting and review
  • Market assessments and planning; market research to support these plans
  • Organizational development and strategic alignment
  • Project planning and implementation recommendations

Since 2005, Stanford ACT has completed more than 60 consulting projects for nonprofit organizations in the arts, education, healthcare, housing, legal services, environment and social and community services. Clients include: Sun Street Centers, Rancho Cielo, Meals on Wheels, Salinas PAL, Conflict Resolution Center of Santa Cruz, Ladies First, Carmel Art Association and more.
