$15 per person (scholarships available)

This workshop is offered by the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, in partnership with El Pajaro CDC.  Almost every organization has been forced to adjust its operations due to COVID-19. The Business Model Canvas tool offers an easy way to start the process of rethinking and/ or developing a new or revised business model for your nonprofit organization.

Through this interactive workshop led by Karla Reyes Noguera, MBA, participants will

  • learn about nonprofit business design model, market and customer segments, and value proposition;
  • consider how to relate to and reach customer segments, such as increasing your revenue stream; and
  • identify key activities to support your income, such as identifying partners who support your organization.

Program is geared toward smaller, grassroots organizations. All are welcome!

The following scholarship types are available (for nonprofits serving the communities of the Monterey Bay region of California):

  • ACTION Council scholarships are offered to organizations supporting children & families who are at-risk, marginalized, or low-income
  • First 5 Monterey County Funded Partners
  • Irvine Salinas Grantees (Baktun12, Building Healthy Communities, Monterey Bay Central Coast Labor Council, Center for Community Advocacy, Ciclovia, COPA, The Epicenter, Girls Inc. of the Central Coast, MILPA, Mujeres en Accion.
  • Fee waived for those unable to pay at this time.

About the presenter:

Karla Reyes Noguera, MBA, is an entrepreneur and dreamer who has more than eight years of experience advising and presenting workshops to entrepreneurs. She earned an MBA in 2015 to learn how to better support small business owners in realizing their dreams. Karla has been a presenter at the Small Business Development Center of Silicon Valley, the University of California at Santa Cruz, Stanford University, and El Pajaro Community Development Corporation, to name a few. Her passion is supporting small business owners to realize their dreams and live their best life.
