Panel Discussion: Local Nonprofits Taking Steps Toward Inclusion and Equity

Overview

Are you interested in moving your nonprofit from diversity toward greater inclusion and equity but aren’t sure where to start? Are you a leader or other change-maker in your nonprofit organization who would like to connect with others involved in similar efforts in a supportive environment?

Nonprofits each bring our own motivations for this work and unique paths forward.  Join us for this moderated discussion with inspiring panelists that are making shifts toward greater racial equity and inclusion in their organizations: Ed Allen, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Susie Brusa, Rancho Cielo, Larry Imwalle, ACTION Council.

Who Should Attend

Executive or Deputy Directors, staff or board members who champion change and equity in their nonprofits (whereever you fall on a spectrum from taking beginning steps to already very actively engaged).

Scholarships

Note: The organization you represent may qualify for a scholarship.

• ACTION Council scholarships are offered to organizations supporting children & families who are at-risk, marginalized, or low-income.
• First 5 Funded Partners: See the list of current agencies.
• Next Steps Grantees are recipients of the Next Steps for Small Nonprofits grant funding

Cancellation Policy:
Notice of cancellation must be received in writing (email or fax) by the Community Foundation at least two full working days prior to the workshop. Scholarship organizations must attend all parts of a multi-session series or they will be invoiced. In the case of a scholarship recipient no-show, the individual may be invoiced if written cancellation is not received within two working days.
