This in-person event will consist of workshop by Vu Le on Nonprofit and Philanthropy’s Necessary Existential Crisis. Additionally, there will be a DEI panel consisting of Big Sur Land Trust’s Jeannette Tuitele-Lewis; Harmony at Home’s Jonathan Reyes-Carranza; Community Foundation for Monterey County’s Laurel Lee-Alexander & Hartnell College Foundation’s Jackie Cruz.

Vu is an internationally-known keynote speaker and nonprofit leader who has given presentations about a variety of subjects: nonprofit funding, challenges, the Overhead Myth, the Sustainability Myth, equity, diversity, collaboration, collective impact, what lessons we can learn from the pandemic, community engagement, organizational culture, lessons nonprofits can learn from various TV shows, etc. He brings humor, insight, and usually pictures of baby animals to every keynote he gives.

This event is presented by Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Monterey Bay, the Center for Non-Profit Excellence at the Community Foundation for Monterey County, Hartnell College and the Hartnell College Foundation.
