Participants will have an overview of and experience using tools that will enable them to:

  • have a clear understanding of the common elements of a grant proposal,
  • be ready to write key parts of a grant proposal; and
  • be prepared to package a grant to meet funders’ guidelines and priorities.

Presenter

Teressa Jimenez
Presenter Teressa JimenezA Monterey County native, Teressa has spent over 10 years of my career in the nonprofit sector with experience in the fields of child/youth development programs and social services. She received her Master’s in Organizational Development, Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and is an active board member on the Association of Fundraising Professionals, Monterey Bay Chapter. Over the last two years Teressa has been the Director of Philanthropy at CASA of Monterey County, leading fundraising initiatives and contributing to over $1M in revenue. In her off time, Teressa enjoys time with her husband and children.

ACTION Council scholarships are offered to organizations supporting children & families who are at-risk, marginalized, or low-income.

Next Steps Grantees are recipients of the Next Steps for Small Nonprofits grant funding

Cancellation Policy:
Notice of cancellation must be received in writing (email or fax) by the Community Foundation at least two full working days prior to the workshop. Scholarship organizations must attend all parts of a multi-session series or they will be invoiced. In the case of a scholarship recipient no-show, the individual may be invoiced if written cancellation is not received within two working days.
