CFMC Names Francine Rodd, Judy Guzman Krueger to Board of Directors
The Community Foundation for Monterey County (CFMC) is pleased to announce the addition of Francine Rodd and Judy Guzman Krueger to their Board of Directors.
Francine Rodd, of Marina, is Executive Director of First 5 Monterey County (F5MC). The vision for F5MC is to ensure that all children reach their unique potential in a family and community that values, respects, and invests in early childhood. F5MC supports children from the prenatal stage through age five by: providing funding to local organizations implementing direct services; supporting knowledge development for providers and parents; and advocating for changes in policies and systems that promote inequities.
I’m honored to join the board of an organization with such a significant past when we are also at a historic turning point for our future. Knowing the importance of quality early childhood development to the health of our communities, I look forward to learning more about the other challenges our communities face. I am excited about the courageous way the Foundation is taking action around race, equity, diversity and inclusion and will actively support that journey,” – Francine Rodd, CFMC Board Member
Francine has also been active in community initiatives including, Bright Beginnings, the Bright Futures Cradle to Career Initiative, the Child Care Planning Council, and the Monterey County Children’s Council. In 2013 she was the recipient of the Child Abuse Prevention Council’s Talcott Bates award for serving the children of Monterey County.
Francine grew up in Marina. Prior to returning home after college, Francine worked overseas developing and implementing programs supporting women and children living in vulnerable communities. She lived and worked in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean for more than 15 years – including working in Haiti for 5 years as the Peace Corps Country Director.
She is a graduate of the University of Southern California and earned her Masters Degree in International Economics and Latin American Studies from Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies.
Judy Guzman Krueger, of Carmel, is the Managing Director and Regional Manager of the Greater Monterey Bay region of Union Bank. Over the past 25 years, Judy has held senior leadership positions at Wells Fargo, Wachovia and Bank of America prior to joining MUFG Union Bank in 2014.

She is a founding supporter of the CFMC’s Siembra Latino Fund to inspire giving by and for Latinos and sits on their Advisory Board.
I am honored to be on the board of the Community Foundation for Monterey County and have an opportunity to be a part of the positive changes the foundation helps make in our community,” Judy Guzman Krueger, CFMC Board Member
