Janet Shing
Senior Program Officer
Janet Shing joined the Community Foundation in 2002. As Senior Program Officer, Janet is responsible for the Community Impact Grants and manages special initiatives. She focuses on the fields of arts and education.
Prior to joining the Community Foundation, Janet worked at a Fortune 500 education publishing company and volunteered at numerous nonprofit organizations including public radio stations, a theater, and a wildlife center.
Janet earned her BA, Liberal Arts, from Hampshire College. She is a musician and currently volunteers on the board of directors of Ventana Wildlife Society. Janet resides in Salinas.
