Alfred Diaz-Infante
President and Chief Executive Officer of CHISPA
As President and Chief Executive Officer of Community Housing Improvement Systems and Planning Association, Inc., (CHISPA) and CHISPA Housing Management, Inc. (CHMI), Mr. Diaz-Infante is responsible for the implementation of Board policy, the overall administration of the development and direction of corporate programs. To date, CHISPA has developed over 2,000 affordable housing units in the Central Coast of California.
Mr. Diaz-Infante has 20 years of experience in the real estate development industry. Previous to working at CHISPA, he worked with BT Commercial as a commercial real estate agent and at Shaw Development as a sales and leasing agent conducting feasibility analysis of shopping centers. His experience includes project financial analysis, project and property management and land acquisition.
He currently serves as a Board Member of the Hartnell College Foundation, Common Ground Monterey County, and Housing Resource Center of Monterey County. He previously served on the board of the National Steinbeck Center and Past Chair of the California Coalition for Rural Housing and Past Chair of the City of Salinas Library Commission. Mr. Diaz-Infante served as a member of the Monterey County Planning Commission from 1993-1998. He is the recipient of the 2003 Distinguished Fellow Award from California State University Monterey Bay for his work in Community and Public Service.
Mr. Diaz-Infante holds an MBA degree from the University of California, Berkeley, with an emphasis in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics and BS degree in Finance from California State University, Sacramento. He is a graduate of Leadership Salinas Valley class XIX.
Mr. Diaz-Infante was born and raised in Salinas, California. He is married and a father of three children.
