A life long resident of Monterey and father of six daughters, Peter Coniglio is a grandson of Pietro Ferrante, founder of the Monterey sardine fishing industry. He joined the firm of Hudson, Martin, Ferrante & Street in 1956 after graduating 1st in his class from the University of San Francisco Law School. He has been the Managing Partner since 1963.
He was a member of the Planning Commission for seven years, four as Chairman; a member of the City Council for three years; and the Mayor of Monterey from 1973 to 1977.
He has served on the boards of many local organizations including, The Monterey Bay Aquarium, Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula, the History and Art Association and the American Caner Society. Currently he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Monterey Golf Foundation (sponsor of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am Golf Tournament), Monterey County Bank, and the Monterey Commercial Property Owners Association.
His specialties are civil litigation, family law, estate planning, probate and business transactions.
