Thank you for visiting the Community Foundation for Monterey County’s website.  We know how important it is to have an accurate, deep, and interesting website, so ours is designed to make it easy for you to find the information you need.

If you are looking for information about any and all of our grant programs, you can access all that information in the Grants and Support section. You will find guidelines and grant application forms, answers to common questions, lists of recent grants, and other information to help you direct your appeal to the most appropriate person or fund.

If you are an attorney, CPA, stock broker, or financial planner who works with clients who need help with charitable gift planning, the Professional Advisors section of the website is the place for you to start. There you will find suggested language for living and testamentary gifts, information about the Foundation’s planned giving services, and a powerful vehicle managed by Crescendo for drafting and calculating values for all types of planned gifts.

Our Donors also have a dedicated area on our website. Here you will learn about the types of funds that the Foundation offers and the ways to make a gift of cash, appreciated securities, real estate or other assets. Whenever we have a special event coming up for our donors, you will find all the details in that section.

From our beginnings as an all-volunteer Monterey Peninsula historic preservation group, to our role as a “catalytic convener” and grantmaker in partnership with thousands of donors from all over Monterey County, the Community Foundation is the place to start for information and services relating to charitable giving.
