LEAD Coaches

A talented and experienced pool of leadership coaches works one-on-one with participants in LEAD Institute. LEAD coaches assist these emerging leaders as they develop confidence and advance their LEAD goals and projects.
As a coach for the LEAD Program, it felt great to be part of the support team for leaders who are making such a huge difference in their communities. The LEAD Program really brings together all of the dynamic skills and abilities and strengthens them in the leader's life. - 2010 LEAD Coach

What LEAD Coaches Can Expect
Commitment: Coaching takes place from February through June. LEAD coaches offer 10 coaching sessions (in-person or by phone) following an orientation. Feedback and good communication with LEAD staff are expected throughout the process, including participation in program evaluation.
Selection and training: LEAD coaches are invited to join the coaching pool following an application review and phone interview. Ongoing training and support are available from LEAD staff.
Acknowledgement: LEAD Coaches offer their time pro bono and are recognized by the Community Foundation for Monterey County (CFMC) for their in-kind support. Training day costs are covered by CFMC. In addition, coaches are encouraged to attend the leaders’ graduation ceremony in September to further celebrate their time together.
