Vision
A region that embraces, affirms, and celebrates cultural diversity and the inherent strengths of its permanent and temporary residents, where public and private institutions and service delivery systems are responsive to the community’s changing needs and capacities, where agricultural workers and their families are empowered and have the experience, knowledge, and skill to lead and/or be directly involved in efforts to improve the health and well-being of their communities.
Mission
To act as a strategic partner and community-based resource in Monterey County and to contribute to efforts aimed at improving the health and well-being of agricultural workers and their families throughout the region. To achieve our objectives, we will identify, coordinate, and mobilize local assets and resources and collaborate with other strategic partners and community stakeholders. Our approach will be proactive and our work will emphasize innovative and strategic thinking, well-informed planning and implementation, building and/or increasing individual empowerment and community power, ongoing capacity building, respect and sensitivity to cultural diversity, and sustainability.
