Fund for the Arts

Background

The Todd Lueders Fund for the Arts, established in 1991, is a permanent endowment supported by those seeking to provide long-term, ongoing support to a select group of arts organizations.  It The Fund highlights the cultural and economic contributions of the performing and visual arts to the quality of life in both developed and rural areas of Monterey County.  It is a flexible, future oriented fund that will grow through gifts and by will and bequest from donors with broad interests in local art and culture.

Eligibility

A portion of the Fund’s annual payout is distributed to the Arts Council for Monterey County to support a re-granting program for small and emerging arts agencies. The remaining balance of distributable income is granted to seven core agencies:

  • Monterey Museum of Art
  • Monterey County Symphony
  • Carmel Bach Festival
  • Carmel Music Society
  • Youth Music Monterey
  • Pacific Reportory Theatre
  • The Western Stage at Hartnell College
