Donor Advised Funds
The Community Foundation for Monterey County holds a variety of Donor Advised funds, charitable funds which enable donors to participate actively in grantmaking.
Grants are made from these funds based upon donor recommendations in conjunction with the Community Foundation’s due diligence procedures.
Individuals named as advisors on Donor Advised Funds make recommendations based on their knowledge of non-profit organizations throughout the world and the services they provide. The Community Foundation encourages and assists Donor Advisors to become familiar with a wide variety of organizations in their areas of interest.
Donor advisors make recommendations in writing to Julie Drezner, Vice President of Community Engagement. Forms are available from the Grants Administrator.

There is no application or proposal process for Donor Advised Funds.
However, organizations are welcome to send the Community Foundation a copy of their current newsletter or a brief, one-page description of their programs and needs to:
