CAA, Phase I (2005-2007)
Accomplishments:
- Awarded $455,000 in grants to support 56 projects with re-granting funds from the James Irvine and the David and Lucile Packard Foundations;
- Offered a variety of networking and technical assistance opportunities to local arts groups, including a new monthly forum, Arts FAN (Future Audience Network), and the eight-session Arts Management Institute;
- Developed Creative Monterey County, An Action Plan, in partnership with the Arts Council for Monterey County;
- Hosted a number of social and cultural events aimed at cultivating donors for the arts and raised nearly $200,000 for our Fund for the Arts; and
- Increased the amount awarded in grants from donor advised funds from $140,500 in 2005 to over $468,000 in 2007.
