Annual Women's Fund Breakfast, May 20, 2010
Nearly 200 Women's Fund supporters and community leaders gathered at the Women's Fund Annual Breakfast. They heard from teen girls from the Girls' Health in Girls' Hands Leadership Team and over $40,000 was raised at the event to support Women and Girls in Monterey County.

International Women's Day Celebration
MIIS, March 8, 2010
Over 150 people attended "Women and Leadership: The 30% Solution" event at the Monterey Institute of International Studies co-sponsored by The Women's International Perspective (TheWIP.net). The keynote address by Linda Tarr-Whelen, President Clinton's ambassador to the U.N. Commission on the Status of Women, included a copy of her book, Women Lead The Way Your Guide to Stepping Up to Leadership and Changing the World.


 

Cima Speakers Celebrating Women's Economic Empowerment Cima Collina Winery, February 28, 2010 
At this enjoyable and educational event at Cima Collina Winery in Marina, Community Foundation Donors had an opportunity to learn more about the big impact of small investments on women’s economic self-sufficiency with speakers from the Women's Business Education and Loan Program, the Literacy Campaign for Monterey County, and Rising International.
   

Fireside book chat
Jeri Gattis hosted a delightful evening of lively conversation at her home in November. 20 Women’s Fund donors enjoyed a discussion of Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn’s new book, Half the Sky; Turning Oppression into Opportunity for Women Worldwide.
