The Women's Fund provides an engaging, meaningful way to give back to our local community. By combining our financial resources and focusing our collective thinking and expertise, we make strategic social investments to improve outcomes for local women and girls.
Forty years of research shows that social investments in women reduce poverty, raise productivity and accelerate economic growth. Encouraging women to build on their strengths increases self-worth and higher levels of self-esteem are passed along to future generations. Social investments in girls yield high returns in terms of the effect on wages, and decisions about having children and family size.

How Can You Make a Difference?
- Volunteer your time to a Women's Fund project. Become a community supporter for the Girls Health Action Plan or serve as a mentor to a graduate of the Women's Business Education and Loan Program.
- Offer your talent and/or services. Gifts of materials, your professional expertise and/or services enable the Women's Fund to reduce our operating expenses and concentrate on our work of funding change for women and girls.
- Connect others to the Women's Fund by hosting a gathering at your home or displaying information about the Women's Fund at your office or business.

- Fill out and return the Women’s Fund “Get Involved” form to help us make a difference in the lives of women and girls in Monterey County.
