Ombuddies is a program that brings kids and seniors together

Each year, the Community Foundation for Monterey County, through its staff and Board of Directors, operates several grant programs that are open to application from non-profit, public benefit organizations (with 501(c)(3) status) operating in Monterey County.

The largest grant program is through the General Endowment Fund, which has several competitive grant cycles during the year.

If you are seeking a grant from the General Endowment Fund, you will want to carefully review the Grant Guidelines and review our Recent Grants, before starting to prepare your Grant Application.

The Community Foundation also offers more limited-size grants to small, informally organized groups through its Neighborhood Grants Program.

In addition, Technical Assistance Grants are available to both non-profit organizations and neighborhood groups though the Foundation's Management Assistance Program, which aims to build capacity and infrastructure.

Finally, there are other types of grants that some non-profits may apply for.

If you received a grant from the Community Foundation, you will need to complete and submit a grant evaluation form before you can apply for another grant.

For your convenience, print out the form you need:

For an electronic version of a grant evaluation form or any other form found on this website, please send an email or phone the Community Foundation and ask to speak with a Program Officer. Be sure to specify which form or forms you are seeking.
