Nonprofit Executive Retreat
February 15 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm| $20.00 - $60.00
Looking for ways to build your resilience in these fast-paced and challenging times?
This half-day retreat is designed for local nonprofit executives seeking personal and professional renewal. Participants will develop connections with fellow executives and step away from the office in a restorative setting. Offered by the Center for Nonprofit Excellence (CNE) of the Community Foundation for Monterey County.
- Gain new perspectives and tools to address burnout, transitions and stress.
- Learn about and experience tools such as executive coaching, mindfulness, mutual support, and somatic approaches. Identify how you might begin applying them in your own renewal.
- $20-60 based on your organization’s budget size (includes lunch).
Guest Speaker: Renato Almanzor, PhD, is a Leadership Coach and Executive Director of East Oakland Building Healthy Communities. Renato also worked as Senior Director of Programs for many years at LeaderSpring and helped design CNE’s LEAD Institute.
Additional Speakers: Michelle Slade
Tobi Marcus, Ph.D., is a certified coach and consultant based in Monterey County. She primarily serves the nonprofit sector, supporting change at the individual and organizational level. Tobi’s approach blends over 20 years in strategic planning with a deep commitment to an integral coaching philosophy.
Denise Kaku, MA, offers leadership coaching and organization development consulting services to businesses, nonprofits and individuals navigating change and transition. As a Certified Master Somatic Coach, her mission is helping clients increase their leadership capacity by building greater somatic awareness of being “in their body.”
The 2017 CNE Nonprofit Survey showed that established nonprofit leaders’ abilities increased in most areas over the last year and named the ability to use their wisdom and skills in their organization as a strength! However, both established and emerging leaders noted a decline in their ability to balance work with other aspects of life and saw room for improvement to address the bigger challenges they face.
